What is Adult Day Care & Why Do I Need it?

Papa’s Place is an adult day center that provides dedicated and compassionate care to anyone over the age of 18. Our center is open from 8:30am to 4:30pm, 7 days a week, and specializes in providing hands-on care to individuals with developmental disabilities, cognitive limitations, and dementia. We provide three main types of activities to our adult day center participants: social activities, health-related activities, and educational activities.

Our social activities, such as group games and discussions, bring people together and help adults remain socially active and connected with the community. These activities encourage participants to interact with one another, share stories, and create friendships within the group.

Our health-related activities, such as recreational activities and physical exercises, help adults stay physically active, healthy, and independent. These activities are supervised by our caring staff, ensuring the safety of our participants.

Our educational activities, such as arts and crafts and music therapy, help adults express themselves and engage their creative side. These activities also help adults develop new skills and knowledge, while also providing an opportunity for adults to have fun.

At Papa’s Place, our staff provides a variety of hands-on care services to participants. We strive to provide personalized care and attention while promoting independence and dignity. Our staff is trained to work with adults at all levels of care, whether they need minimal assistance or more intensive care.

Papa’s Place is cost-effective and provides increased and prolonged independence to individuals who attend day centers. We accept a variety of payor sources, including Medicare, Medicaid, private insurance, state-funded waivers, and private pay. Furthermore, our staff-to-participant ratio ensures a safe level of care and security. Our ratio is 1:4, based on acuity levels.
